How to request deletion

To request deletion of your personal data held by Merzichat, email privacy@merzichat.com from the email address or including the phone number associated with your data, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Please include:

• Your name.
• The email address and/or WhatsApp phone number linked to your data.
• The business (merchant) you ordered from, if you are a customer.

What happens next

• We'll acknowledge your request within 7 days.
• We'll verify your identity, then delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain some of it (for example, transaction records for tax or accounting).
• We'll confirm by email once the deletion is complete.

If you ordered from a merchant

When you place an order, Merzichat processes your data on behalf of the merchant you ordered from. If your request concerns order or customer data, we will act on it and, where appropriate, coordinate with the relevant merchant, who is the controller of that data.

Merchants deleting their account

Merchants can delete their account and associated catalog and customer data from the dashboard, or by emailing privacy@merzichat.com. Deleting an account removes its data from active systems, subject to legally required retention.
